How to Create a Facebook Business Page

Did you just create a business of your own? Did you just get hired at a growing company that wants to expand its social presence and needs help doing so? Do you want to learn how to make the most of a Facebook page? Well you have come to the right place! Today I will take you on a step-by-step process of creating and optimizing a business Facebook page.

It is important to recognize that although Facebook may not be as popular as Instagram or TikTok, it can still be used to advertise your business successfully. When a Facebook follower likes a business page they are notified of all the posts through their news feeds. It is important to make the most of each post you create so that your content will have a consistently good engagement rate. It is very important to remember that creating a Facebook page for your business is simple and FREE!

Follow these steps and you will be sure to have a successful start on your Facebook page:

#1. Choose a Good Profile and Cover Photo

The first thing a customer sees when looking at a Facebook page is the business' profile and cover photo. Make sure that you choose photos that represent your brand well and that these pictures are consistent across all your social media accounts.

#2. Have a Call-to-Action Button

A call-to-action button helps customers contact the business through a message or email. This button could also guide the customer to your business' website. This helps customers easily access your information and not get frustrated looking for information about your products.

#3. Business Description

This step is extremely simple. In your bio, briefly describe your business. This should be no longer than one to two sentences. Define who your business is, what your values are and what you are promoting.

#4. Contact Information

In your profile settings, input all your contact information. This should include your business phone number, email, website and any other way that a customer can contact you.

#5. Location

If your business has a physical store or office make sure to include your location in your profile as well. This helps customers know exactly where they can locate the business without having to search online for it.

#6. Business Hours

Again, if your business has a physical location make sure to include your hours of operation so there is no confusion as to when you are open.

#7. Complete your Settings

Once you have completed the prior steps go through your settings and fill in any of the blanks that you missed. In your settings you can decide who can private message your account, tag you, filter your content, connect other social media accounts, change notifications and much more. Use this time to customize your page to however you wish it to be.

After you have completed these steps you officially have a finalized Facebook page! You can go on to customize it more to your liking, but these are the basic steps to get you started. Now you can begin posting your content and watch your following rates go up! It is always important to remember that social media is constantly changing, so make sure to keep up with the latest trends to keep your business up to date with the rest of the world.
